Alton towers scare fest

Well 2 days was spent at the Alton towers scare fest. The park was ment to be transformed to a spookey kind of theme but the only thing that was really done was towers street with pumpkins and tomb stones here and there. The tower of terrors was back which was good to see. I went on this twice on the friday and was different on both times but it was alot better in the morning. The ques wasent to bad for this most of the day really but most probs get busy as the week goes on. Bit of drama on Oblivion when some guy decided to use his phone half way up the lift hill and the ride came to a stop for 5 mins when the guys came up to come and get it off him. After 7 after the laser show the park was dead. Rita was walk on and with all the other rides.

Runaway train was the best on both nights as on the friday we got 6 times round and on the sunday we just stayed on and got 5 and 6 times round the staff were great and relly making everyone scream and have fun. The staff on the friday were really great talking with you and everyone of them saying have a good day and everything. So all in all nice days was had and a good laugh so all we got to look forward to now is the new ride for next year.

Pictrues are now online on both me main site and flicr site. Video coming soon.

Glad you had a good time smiler

I have to say we were put off the scarefest as we were led to believe that the park would be rammed out during most of it and we did not fancy queueing half the day. It would be interesting to know if alton are disapointed about the amount of people going as from what i have seen on various forums it has not been too busy.

The day was really good. As said the Halloween theming is a bit lacking. Considering the advertising its very basic.
I liked the laser show and the after dark session on the rides was great. Jews were quite good as well, got a lot done.
Plus thanks for the ride staff on Runaway Mine Train for fixing it to crawl round on the 19th lap. Very interesting slow.
Loved doing Alton late night but Halloween i did not feel in anyway.

Its also very interesting to hear about the lack of halloween themeing as PBB have been given a right slating on a PBB forum due to the lack of themeing on the park. What they have done is pretty similar to alton by the sounds of it, putting pumkins around the park etc.

Mind you the pumkin at the north entrance (even tough its not a real pumkin) is just amazing Very Happy
