Alton Towers Half Term HullabalooYesterday while at Alton towers we noticed some posters advertising the half term event they have lined up for Feb 2008
The following is taken from the Alton Towers ticket booking site with regards to the event
From the 9th – 24th February, we’re opening the doors of the theme park between 10am and 4pm so you can enjoy some of our best family rides before the theme park opens for the 2008 season
No clue as to what rides will be open though

For my two pennys worth I should imagine this will mean things like Flume, Duel, Tea Cups and possibly only one or two of the big hitters. I would not be suprised if they closed down the whole of the FV area to work on Nemesis and Air. It would be feasible for Oblivion to open as they have been working on getting year round operation what with only running 6 trains and owning 7.

This hasent got anything to do with there medieval thing they did this year is it as this was great. A nice old style fun fair and one or two family rides open and oblivion which charged £3 to ride. It will be nice if it did do something like that again.

The rides open at Half-Team are,
Air, Nemesis , Blade, Haunted Hollow, Duell, Spinball, Beastie, Dung Heap, Old MC Tractor, Riverbank Eye Spy, Berry Bish Bash and Doodle Doo Derby.
Not a bad line up for £13

Not too bad for young familys I suppose but not great for white knuckle fans, but then I suppose its not aimed at that sort of thing.
I might pop along though to get some nemesis counting done
