After yesterdays superb trip to Alton Towers, I made a statement at the bottom of my TR hoping that today's visit would be as good if not better.
Well today was not only the best day ever at Alton Towers in 30 years of going but the best day ever at a UK park.
It was a fair bit quieter today than yesterday and with clever use of the single rider queues a ride count beyond our wildest dreams was had.
Up until today the most rides I had ever managed on Nemesis in 1 day was a very impressive 42, well as you will see below that has been bettered. The total ride count today was the one you always dream of getting at Alton but deep down you know it will never happen, well dreams do come true. So here goes the ride count.
Oblivion - 10
Rita - 2
Hex - 1
Spinball Whizzer - 3
Log Flume - 1
Nemesis - 70, yes that is correct by the way 
TOTAL RIDES - A totally mind blowing 87
HIGHLIGHTS
- Insane Nemesis and overall ride count
- Nemesis crew were superb as they saw the insanity unfolding before them
- Superb staff, efficent and friendly all over the park.
- Great ride capacity even on a slower day.
- The new pizza and pasta restaurant, superb food at a great price.
- Nice weather again
- 97 rides on Nemesis in 2 days at Alton Towers
LOWLIGHTS
- End of day at 5, I could still be on Nemmy now 4 hours later 
- One slight grumble about Alton, the park has designated smoking areas but as usual loads of people choose to be such rebels and ignore it 
Well tomorrow it is off to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the day and after the last two days at Alton it has a near impossible job to reach the heights of the Alton Towers.
