A really great day was had today at a sun drenched Alton Towers. Even though the park was busier than expected the ride count was still superb thanks to the Rita ERT and using single rider on Spinball Whizzer and Nemesis.

HIGHLIGHTS
- First theme park trip of 2009.
- The weather, if only every April was this nice.
- Slick operation of the rides.
- Rita ERT, 12 rides in just over an hour.
- Nemesis, 15 years and still simply the best ride the UK has to offer, a true legend.
- Meeting a young women from the Cleveland area on her first trip to Alton Towers, it gave me chance to talk Cedar Point with a Point fan. What were the odds on that?
- The people at Alton today were actually pretty normal people, I don't know if I find that scary or not

Hopefully tomorrow at Alton will bring a day as good as today if not better.
