Alton Towers 15th & 16th SeptemberWHO WENT

Only a quick report from our two days at Alton as I have to be up bright and early to return tomorrow with my mum, Caroline will not be going tomorrow as she has reached her Alton limit for now.
Anyhow two excellent days at a slightly busier than expected park, but other than Rita running just one train yesterday the capacity was excellent and the queues were pretty small.

Spinball Wizzer - 14
Rita - 3 (Only one train, maybe the other was being worked on?)
Corkscrew - 1 (not as rough as when I last went in May)

HIGHLIGHTS
- Nemesis, both days Nemmy was totally flying, the best I have know it for a while.
- 97 rides in two days!!
- 50 rides in one day, been a decade since I last did that many in one day at Alton
- 57 rides on Nemesis in two days
- Going past the 100 mark for rides on Nemesis this year and thats in just 4 visits to the Towers!!
- Splash landings hotel, superb staff and food. Great hotel.
- Spinball wizzer ert.
LOWLIGHTS
- Why does Alton attract so many dopey plonkers, they make you want to scream at times.
- People totally ignoring the no smoking rule, Alton do need more signs though.
COMMENTS
- Why are so many school age children at Alton at the moment with there families? Have we really approached the time where parents think it acceptable to take the kids out of school to go to a theme park?
- The total abuse of the disabled wristband scheme, we noticed a few groups using the scheme who looked like they were mickey taking to be honest. The worst was today when a girl with a light cast on her arm had a wristband and her 3 helpers did as well!!!! Alton really need to crack down on this imo.
