Ok so we have done and are still doing favourite Uk Woodies and Steelies, but which Flat ride in the theme parks gets you going the most?

As ever I have tried to get one flat ride from most parks but feel free to sugest another not on the list.

For my choice it just has to be Slammer, the most intense ride experience I have ever had anywhere. It beats one hell of a lot of coasters for me, a ride I truly love for its extreme ride Twisted Evil

Well, I have voted on the list - and bling is a firm favourite for me.

But where is Drayton's Maelstrom? It's not as re-ridable as bling (for me), but I do love the sensation for the first 2 or 3 goes.

My personal favourite is either Maelstrom or Vortex. Similar rides, but differeing experiences I think.

The Circulator is a Farfabbri Evolution ride at Flamingoland. It is an excellent ride as it is manually controlled by the ride op, so if they feel evil you are in for one heck of a ride Twisted Evil

Another one of these rides is Excalibur 2 at Camelot

Sorry to all you Maelstrom fans out there Very Happy I only remembered about this ride after I had submitted the post and can't work out how to get it added to the list, so if any admin or mods can do then please feel free to do so.

Definitely Maelstrom. Absolutely no contest.

Had to go for Rush at Thorpe. Great ride, and the fact you feel so exposed with only a lap bar makes it more thrilling. Second place, any Booster, standard wind turbine thing.

I voted for Maelstrom as it's a great ride and I haven't ridden most (if any) of the others on the list.

So far I've kept clear of Bling as that kind of ride terrified me Smile - but having now ridden Pegasus at Tivoli Friheden I think I may finally get my first ride on Bling Bash 2010.

Thanks Bazza for the friendly push (nice game plan!) needed to get me on Pegasus. Sadly I was no quite up to trying the Sky Tower, small steps as they say . . .

I went on a simular ride in Cardiff four years and it was awful, as it hurt.

I am off to Blackpool in two weeks time so I might try Bling, although it is scarier than it looks.

I rode Bling once during Blackpool Bash 2008 and once during Blackpool Bash 2009.  It definitely looks scary, I managed it without screaming but one go per visit was enough for me.  It's difficult to go describe the sensation without you going on it, the ride swings and spins simultaneously, and part way through the central part of the ride is held upside down high in the air momentarily, fine if you like that.  To complicate matters, the "pews" pivot forwards and backwards about their central body ends, thereby adding to the effect as the central body swings and spins.  So far I haven't tried going on Bling once in the morning and once again in the afternoon.  No way could I take two goes straight off, I said in my Messageboard Blackpool Bash 2009 trip report "Bling gets nul points for re-ridability".

So you might be brave and give Bling a try.  Good luck to you, though don't feel forced into riding it if you don't fancy going on it, just because I and other RCCGB members have ridden it.  I remember you telling me you gave that a miss at the Blackpool Bash 2008.

When your'e back from your trip to Blackpool, let us know whether you went on it or not.
