You're going to hate me for this Ryan,

But it just has to be when I was in the front seat of TTD, and we just got over the top hat and started down the otherside.  But that was only the front seat - the rest of the train didn't quite make it and relentlessly pulled us back.

ROLLBACK!!!!

My first ever.

My favourite moment of our trip to Cedar Point was like Ryans, a few times the trims on Magnum did not come on and the result was insane and brutal airtime  Very Happy

First ever ride on TTD and riding it on the front seat on another ride totally blew me away. Not even Stealth can begin to prepare you for the madness of that ride.

The US trip was my 'first' for so many reasons - first ever loops, being turned upside down with twists, vertical lifts, stand-up, and first mouse type coaster with spins! I just did the normal up/down coasters at the bash.

There's so much to choose from, El Toro, Phantom's Revenge, Magnum XL - just a small sample of the many great rides. But my first ride on TTD in the front-seat & early morning is definitely a stand-out moment (I can't remember much about the Kinda Ka ride - but I definitely want to ride that many times in future). My first experience of TTD's smooth and awesome acceleration is one that will stay with me.

But there was something wrong with all my TTD rides - I always seemed to carry on down once past the top!

The Koaster Krazy trip produced lots of memorable moments for me [Thanks Heather, you were a star] but the most memorable moment was El Toro in the evening at the back.

After experiencing this coaster during the day, the evening run was absolutly hellfire Laughing , with the best part towards the end, over the final hill before the sweeping curves.

El Toro was on fine form and is now my top woodie. Sorry Voyage.

PS. I would of liked to say the two rollbacks on TTD, but this might upset a few friends who sadly missed out Wink , so I will stick with El Toro.

The highlight of my trip was definately El Toro. Such a fantastic coaster. We need to get one of those a lot nearer to home.

Being a relative newbie, what initially amazed me was how awe struck all the clubs seasoned coaster riders were after their 1st El Toro ride was over.

It's not just a few of us that think the lift, that 1st drop, and the ride as a whole is just magnificent and takes a lot of beating.

One outstanding moment, Ryan in a DRY park. (Knobels does not sell beer) The fun on TTD ERS when Lisa kept getting rollbacks and Pete did not (Pete did eventually get a rollback) with the ride ops joining in the fun helped.

El Toro was wicked for me too - loved the first drop and I agree with others Kingda Ka has nothing on TTD, although I am glad I did it.  The ERS on Phoenix was great fun too.   Very Happy

I also really enjoyed the ice-cream challenge - can't think why!!!  At least I didn't spill any!!!!!!   Laughing

Just being curious but why do most people prefere TTD to Kingda Ka?

Is it because on TTD you only have a lapbar?

You only have lap bars, it's smoother (I lost a filling on KK), and the launch is much more aggressive on KK it feels like a stepped launch with it changing gear on 2 or 3 occasions. Plus, and most importantly, TTD is not in a Six Flags park.

I can remember everything about riding TTD, but in comparison I can't remember that much about Kinda Ka. Kinda was my first time on this type of ride so this seems a little strange.

My mind was so full of anticipation of what was to come together with being more than a little nervous of finally being on KK, perhaps that may have some bearing on it.

The reported 'jerky' acceleration of Kinda was not such an issue for me. What I can remember about Kinda was that one moment I was stationary and the next I was over the top and on my way down Smile

TTD is better, but Kinda Ka is still worth riding many times in future.

I will be doing Kingda Ka next year  Very Happy

But it will take a lot to beat TTD as it totally blew my mind. 17 seconds of absolute insanity and its even madder on the front seat  Twisted Evil

What a ride and what an amazing park.

Take headache tablets with you for KK, TTD is smooth but KK is very bumpy etc.

NITRO and PHANTOMS REVENGE and MILLENIUM FORCE and TTD did it for me but PHOENIX for sheer rideability.
(2 rollbacks this trip 3 rollbacks 2006) but would have liked to have experienced the MAXAIR TTD throwover which was the last ride of the trip for Nev,Carl and the remaining non rollbackers.
