On the 8th of September it's almost my birthday but more importantly it's also St Giles Fair - one of the largest street fairs in the country. They normally have a spinning mouse, several kiddies coasters and a load of spin & spews. I'll be aiming to get there for around 6:30pm. If anyone would like to meet up for some rides before a Chinese or Curry PM me and I'll arrange a meeting point.
St Giles Fair is also open on the 7th Sept. _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |

Judging by previous years there are normally a couple of kiddie coasters - runaway train or go gator type things, 2-3 ghost trains, 2 - 3 fun houses, 2 -3 set of of dogems, 2 - 3 Miami's, 2 Walzters, 3 twists, 4 orbitors and 1 of the following: Extreme, Superbowl, Rotor, Tango & big wheel or Spining Mouse, Superstar, Stargate, Matterhorn, Chaos, Metorite, Gallopers and Booster plus the usual selection of stalls and kids rides.
Also worth a visit is Witney Feast (14th & 15th sept) which features several of the rides from St Giles and will definately have the spinning mouse and a log flume or rapids ride. _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |

Unfortunatly the fairs take place during the week so if you try and go at a weekend all you can do is watch them build it. _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |

For those wishing to attend meet me outside The Lamb and Flag pub, which is about halfway along St Giles heading north, between 6:45 & 7pm. PM me for my mobile. It's probably easier keeping to the right hand side of the street to get to the pub rather than walking up through the fair
To find the fair head towards the centre of town and then head North - you can't miss it _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |

Nothing will be put up until someone goes to the fair.
This may happen on the 6th as think thats pull on day and if someones there they will do the list or if someone is there oopening night etc.
If no one goes you wont get a line up im afraid _________________ Dan

To those planning to come:
The fair opens around lunchtime today and tomorrow and closes around 11pm. The most convient place to park is the Multistory car park off Oxpens Road however parking charges during the daytime are extortionate - a cheaper option is one of the park and ride sites dotted round the edge of the citry. Also Oxford has recently introduced a blanket 20mph zone in the city centre (as if driving in Oxford wasn't hard enough!) and apparently there are more speed cameras than signs.
See here for a map of the city centre with street names - take care if arriving from the North as the fair is inbetween you and the car parks!

Copy and past the whole address above not just the highlighted bit. _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |
