The station is pretty much gone... The Skyride won't be open again this season...!
Its a good job the ride was not operating at the time. Imagine being on board heading towards a station on fire...! Its a long way down...! _________________ RCCGB Member 392 |

Be a far more exciting ride than, Air, Rita, Spinball, S.H.I.T, Oblivion, Enterprise, Mine Train, Dual, Blade, etc etc etc.
Do we know how the last fire started, could this latest one be the same cause? _________________ RCCGB Membership Number 1915

Could have been anything - lights, security alarms, etc. Many parks seem to have wiring that looks a bit of a mess, mostly around the station area rather than on the rides, but I would imagine it's mainly low voltage stuff rather than 3-phase _________________ Steve

That was my thought when it happened again. A very long walk as well between the rides.
O well it was a good ride in the park now we will have to wait again for sky ride 2. _________________ Memeber of the 08 Top Thrill Rollback Club + Member of the "First to be denied SAW by Technical Failure" club.

Had that happened, they'd surely have stopped the ride and reversed it to run it in the opposite direction, so that the people in the affected cars could get off where they got on.
The Skyride is really two rides in an L-shape. You go from one station (can't remember what it's called), then to a half way station (not far from Ripsaw and Nemesis) where I think you have to get off and if you want to continue, on another car to continue to the station at the other end in Cred Street. Which of the three stations is Cloud Cuckoo Land which was burned? When I rode it during Loopathon AT 2005 and 2006, I didn't pay much attention to what the three stations were called. |

Although this would put the people who hadn't long got on going back towards the fire! _________________ Steve
