Hot on the heels of last weeks announcement of the Busch parks that will be in Dubai, Six flags have now announced they too will be building a park there as well.

I remember that wind up about Six Flags buying Oakwood, twas very funny seeing the look on Ryans face. Do we know who it is looking to buy Oakwood at the moment?

Any way why are you so obsessed with kiddie coasters all of a sudden. Laughing

Sounds like things are really hotting up in Dubai on the theme park side. Six Flags are reallygood as they offer something for all ages and tastes.

Not sure sure who is buying Oakwood, but maybe it will be mentioned on their website. I don't know wether I could imagine a Six Flags Oakwood.

I remember the wind-up about Oakwood, I mentioned it to Nev and he executed it brilliantly, poor old Ryan was nearly in Tears as he announced "Six Flags Over Oakwood" and was surprised Paddy hadn't said anything!

I think Nev should have been an actor, because he can keep a serious face at all times!

Poor Old Dan in Hooters, Nev told him all the members were going upstairs in the exclusive section with topless barmaids, and the entry age was 25, so Dan was to be left downstairs on his own!

We were all in histerics yet Nev kept his cool and Dan took the bait!!

If 6F is as broke as they say, How can they possibly build something new in Dubai? They haven't built a new park in ages .

My understanding is, like most of the branded parks being built in Dubai, that the parks themselves are being financed by the Arabs in UAE and they are licensing the brand name. I'm guessing while Busch Gardens, Universal and Warner are internationally known theme park brands that Six Flags is wanted to draw the American market to Dubai.
