It's almost the end of another great coaster season so I thought I'd put up a place for people to put their highlights from 2009. I've also included a poll for your favourite club trip (I've not included the sking trip as it didn't involve any coasters).
My personal list is as follows:
Best park visited - Waldermeer
Best Wooden Coaster - Ravine Flyer II
Best Steel Coaster - Big Bad Wolf (RIP)
Best new UK Ride - Mumbo Jumbo
Best UK Park - Blackpool PB
Worst coaster - Shockwave at Kings Dominion
Biggest Dissappointment - Bizzaro
Best Musical Event - (no not my Karaoke) Judas Priest at NEC
Best Album - Century of Self by Trail of the Dead
Best Film - Watchmen _________________ Without a safety net you're free to find serene pleasure of speed |

As some of you know, I attended FOUR Club trips this year: SAW-Ted (Thorpe Park), Blackpool Bash, Summer Bash (Flamingo Land) and Meet At The Park (Funland Hayling Island).
Of these, I felt that Blackpool Bash was by far the best (hence I voted for that one), because as well as riding all day Saturday, we had professional entertainment Friday evening, and more entertainment Saturday evening (members singing songs, games, Gong Show and disco). Two nights of entertainment are something we just didn't get on Saw-Ted, Summer Bash and Meet At The Park.
By the way, I see you forgot Loopathon in your list of options, and that had happened by the time you started this thread. In fact, there should actually have been TWO separate choices for that, i.e. Loopathon Alton Towers and Loopathon Drayton Manor. _________________ Check out my coaster count at coaster-count.com

It never gave me the option to vote, already shows me the results?
I would have gone for Stand Behind The Yellow Line, had a great laugh as always on the USA trips. It`s the highlight of being part of this club and we did some parks that really interested me. Plus the company of Andy Write, Carol and Stevie Caine made it for me.
The Coaster of the trip and year had to be Ravine Flyer II although i don`t think it beats The Voyage or El Toro in my favorite Woodies.
Biggest achievement of the year was getting on the kiddie woodie at Rye Playland.
Best Steel Coaster Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens, well a shocker.
Biggest disappointment was Mumbo Jumbo, what a let down and pile of scrap!
Best park of the year Morley's piers, pity about the mist over the park. (plus never receiving our t-shirts)
Best UK park/trip Blackpool, with Lightwater Valley Summer bash second. (It was a shocker and still is lol)
Best film (On release night, 28th October i`m off to see the Michael Jackson This Is It - to see what i missed out on for best concert)
Worst moment of the year was losing Michael Jackson, after following his career since 1984 (6 Years old). However, people knowing my passion for his stuff and everybody contacting me, including the leader of this club lol. Was nice to have people offer me respect in what hit me quite hard actually. I know that is sad lol. _________________ My Site www.freewebs.com/big-Stevie-b/

I've added Loopathon to the list.
My Favourite was Summer Bash, as it was great weather, a new park for me and and a new ride. Probably follwed by Loopathon which was real good fun, choo choo!
I'm also with Andy, Mumbo Jumbo was awesome. A real good fun ride.
Best Park was probably Port Aventura for this year, followed by Flamingo Land.
Best and Worst coaster was actually the same! Furius Bacon. The first go at the front with restraint loose was an excellent ride. Second go at the back after being stapled was terrible. _________________ Steve
