This Saturday myslef and Hayley decided to take a trip along the South Coast to take in a few of the little parks. It was quite a fair drive but nice to see a few sea side towns really thriving.

Harbour Park
This is a really great little park for young families and has some really nice rides. The park is extremely clean and well presented. We ate in the cafe when we first arrived and it had great choice, tasty food and a very clean and fresh environment. Definitely not a grotty seaside cafe! As for the rides, the ops were cleaning the dodgems which you don't see often!

The main reason for the visit was of course the caterpillar coaster, a very new big apple without the apple. Nothing out of the ordinary just a good big apple! The rest of the park had a log flume, astroglide, crazy inverting bikes and what looked like an old but well maintained waltzer.

Fort Fun
This is not a place I would say was fun, more Fort Run Down. Not a great deal here, a strange log flume that has a big garden swimming pool around and a not so new Moser drop tower. The Runaway train was ok, a modified Nessi. It used to have a bit of themeing as per the RCDB pictures but has changed location and colour now. The town of Eastbourne was extremely busy around the piers and seafront Hotels.

Flamingo Park
This was our first time to Hastings and it was a strange place. It had what felt like an unfriendly atmosphere but seemed very popular. The big apple was ok, again nothing special and that was one of only about 5 or 6 rides!

The major plus point of today was definitely the quality of Harbour park. I would recommend any one stopping by to try out a few of the rides. Littlehampton is a really nice town and would be great for a day trip.

I have been past Flaming park. It was closed so I could not do there coaster shame as I would not go there again.

Great trip report there mate yes Harbour park is a very well clean park and looked after well by the looks of things. They used to have two or 3 coasters there in the past one on top of the arcade if I can remember. Glad you enjoyed it. Fort fun may be a drive by kind of thing for us to one day but not a day tho.

Good report Blue. Haven't done Harbour Park since they had their Zyclone Coaster with OTSR's. Also done the other 2.
As C Anderson said its always nice to do the little parks that other people might not know are there.

Nice to see the smaller parks getting a mention and as everybody has mentioned, Harbour Park sounds like a good place for a future visit.

Yeah its not far, its just a pain getting along the seafront. If you go direct from Fort Fun to Flamingo the SatNav takes you along the front which is really busy when its sunny. Parking is a pain alos, but if you come along the front and pass flamingo park and follow the road round pass the chirch you start to go up a hill which is free parking. There is a speed camera on the hill which we saw go off 4 times walking back to the car!!

We were lucky with the weather on Saturday which ensured all of the coasters to be open, as Steve said before, Harbor Park is worth a visit nice environment very clean!!!!

Fort fun, very dodgey place, I couldnt stay all day we did a flying visit just to do the coaster.

Flamingo Park, was very busy, but both me and Steve did not feel at all safe there. I felt like I could have my bag stolen at any moment, but it might have been due to the amount of people. Good little coaster, at the bargin price of £2 pounds for both of us.

Thats a good point the coaster cost:

Harbour Park - £2.00 a go each
Fort Fun - £2.00 a go each
Flamingo Park - £1.00 a go each

3 coasters for a fiver!!
