Hi all,

The re-launched new style website has been running for a few months, with no problems reported! All the feedback has been really good from everyone which is great to receive as many hours went into delivering the new look and updates.

So now, I thought I’d ask for your help, and in turn give you a chance to be involved as I know there are budding photographers out there!

I’m looking for some new rollercoaster pictures to use on the main website homepage and header area at the top of each page.

Here’s what I’m looking for…

Firstly, go and take a good look at the homepage picture today.

The current image is a very good one. It’s simple and un-cluttered, there is a lot of blue sky which makes it easy to look at, and with the amount of sky the colours remain consistent with the look and feel of the website layout, but most importantly the main focus of the picture is a coaster with people having fun riding.

Now then, it is exactly this kind of picture that I’m looking for. So people, do you have any pictures in your photo archives you took that I could use??

Important things I will be looking for that may help your picture get used on the website is attention to detail and relevance to the RCCGB.

If for example your picture was of a coaster full of members on an ERS having a great time, and fitted well with the site (colours, sky, etc.), you’d have a good chance of it being used.

In order to fit within the website code, the photo must fit into the following criteria:-

I have the ability to code the pictures to rotate, so up to 3 will be chosen for use at any one time, and if I get loads of good ones, I will change them throughout the year when I do major updates.

Conditions of Submission of your Picture

Sorry, but I have to do this bit…..

Credit will be given to the person(s) who’s pictures make it to the website, however a condition of submission is that I can use the image anywhere on the site if required. The image will not be passed on to any other person or 3rd parties at all.

As the editor of the website, my decision which submitted pictures to use will remain with me.

Submissions must be made by 28th February 2009

Please email your submissions to me (Subject: Website Coaster Pix) and attach the picture to the email, with brief details of the date / coaster / park etc. to webmaster@rccgb.co.uk

A list of chosen pictures, with the owners etc. will be available following the submission date.

Oh I have some image with blue sky and I photo widescreen like 360 view

most blue sky in Drayton Manor Theme park Gforce, shockwave

other alton towers image air and nemesis and rita great with landscapes

will give you today and put my copyright or not must to?

I know the date is getting closer, so I may extend it - it's only a date to give me time to do it before the new season starts (as i tend to go off hunting new Big Apples and Go Gators from March Embarassed

), so please, if you have anything you think would be good.... send it in Smile

Don't forget this is still open, so when snapping away this weekend if you are at SAW-Ted, see if you can get some good ones during the ERS that fit the requirements Very Happy
