Hail All!
Not exactly a football fan here, but one team that I do follow is the Hamburg side F.C. St. Pauli...Not because they're good players (They're in the German 2nd division), but more because they're one of the most vicious sides I've ever seen on a Fußballfeld!
Ye should've seen the on-pitch carnage during the second half last time they played at home to Borrusia Dortmund...
Farewell...

Hail again! | Rough Rider wrote: | Yes! Chicago Bears Proper footy | What on Earth are ye on about mate?
Ye mention "Football" to any American nowadays, they think of a game involving odd-shaped balls, an excess of body armour, and theatre organs constantly played out of tune!
To be perfectly honest, I'd much rather play Rugby if I had the time and money to do so. At the same time though, I do find American "Football" to be fun as well...But mainly because - Unlike Rugby - You're allowed to tackle and crash into players from any angle and at any part of the body (Whereas in Rugby, ye should only tackle below the belt) and thus it's a sport that can be a handy substitute for those of us who would sooner spend the majority of our lives on a 9th century Battlefield!
On that note though...Ye should've seen what happened when I joined a few American mates of mine for a game when I was over there last year! Not knowing the rules back then, I just played as if it was a standard game of Rugby. No real problems, but people couldn't seem to understand why I was only passing the ball backwards!
Farewell...
