So Lisa and I have been debating the ERSs for the trip.
We all know that Nev always makes great choices for the club
so all can enjoy them. If we throw things around enough maybe we can goad him into revealing something. The surprise factor is great fun
as was proven on the Mystery Tour, but lets see what he will give up.

Wood is always good, so some choices may be obvious.
Ravine Flyer, Boulderdash, Comet, and Great white seem likely
but some of the other parks offer more options.
No wood at Busch so I'm thinking Alpengeist, but maybe Apollos Chariot.
Kings Dominion has wood, and I have heard that Hurler was a great ERS
in the past. Great America has Roar which was a fun ERS in San Fran.
I'm hoping for a ride session on Bizarro, since in the past it has been
the best steelie on the planet. We'll see if that comes together.
Darrien Lake doesn't have much to offer, RoS there does not match up to
NE. The only wood there is Predator, kinda limp.
Unknown is Wonderland, they have wood, but I'm thinking Behemoth.

I suppose some parks might offer us multiple rides, so all this is
speculation. All I know is it will be AWESOME, so lets Rock! (and roll)

Pete

At Busch we may have Griffon, a floorless dive machine??  Great Escape has a great woodie, The Comet. Kings Dominion has The Volcano a very unique inverted launched coaster.  But the bottom line is whatever Nev choses will be fine by me, he seems to chose a coaster for rideability, fun and popularity. So keep up the good work!! Very Happy

No, just everyone had such a headache that nearly everyone stopped riding after 2 or 3 goes. They ended up opening the drop tower for us.

I think that comment may mean something else in America!!

Anyway, I've heard back from one of the parks - they will get back to me once they have spoken to Operations (thats the ride operations department, not a description of what you will need after an ERS on a Boomerang!) haha!

Update - Just heard back from one of the 2 parks I contacted and they have CONFIRMED that we CAN have an ERS on their Boomerang!*
You ask, I get!  Laughing

*Not at the expense of the real coaster I have also orgnaised an ERS on!
However they are not at the same time, so when we go from one to the other I expect you all to ride it now that I have gone to trouble of organising it just for you!  Razz

If this challenge goes ahead then I'll make sure that there are plenty of headache tablets for use after you've finished and bandages for your ears.  Cool

Maybe we should have a competition - who can survive the most rides on it?

The "Boomerang Barmy 2009" challenge!  Very Happy

Who's up for it? (I've actually done 11 before!!)

Any chance Nev of the same challenge when we get to ride "RATTLER" in 2011? Very Happy
If so............COUNT ME IN!!!! Laughing  Laughing Whay! Hay! and I suppose Pete and Magic will also want to be added Laughing  Laughing

I guess I'll do the right thing and take at least one ride, purely to save some other poor sole from suffering the agonising misery of riding Rattler. Or am I being cruel by perhaps making someone wait even longer for the inevitable. bit like when the firing squad drag things out before executing someone.

The park in question has been reading the message board and has said as the ERS is proving so popular they may even put on a second train!   Laughing  Laughing
