Great news for Drayton Manor Park, they've finally got the green light to begin construction on the long proposed hotel. Although the council approved the plans earlier in the year, the scale of the project needed government approval, and they've just got it.
The hotel will have 150 rooms, some of the family rooms will have a Thomas the tank Engine theme. There will also be 2 restaurants, a coffee shop and a crèche.
Colin Bryan, Managing Director, Drayton Manor Theme Park, comments: “We are delighted to finally have the go-ahead for the hotel. The Drayton Manor Hotel will set a new standard in theme park accommodation and will enable visitors to make the most out of their time at the park.
This October we will be celebrating our Diamond Jubilee, commemorating 60 years of providing family entertainment. Investing in the new hotel is our gift to the park to mark the occasion.”
Will post the artwork later, got a poor connection at the moment. _________________ RCCGB Membership Number 1915

Probably the going rate for a theme park based hotel room, priced on the basis of a family of 4.
And no, there won't be a single room... why would there be? It's a family park which eludes to the fact more than 1 person would be going. I suspect it will probably be similar in internal design to AT hotels, whereby there's 2 reasonable beds and a couple of bunks for the kids. Guess we'll find out more at Loopathon during lunch _________________ Matt
