I was in Costco, the wholesale warehouse, the other day and they are already selling Christmas lights so I was wondering, is it too early to wish everyone in the club "Happy Christmas"
I should add, that I was that shocked I dropped the Easter Egg I wanted to buy _________________ RCCGB Mem no 948

Today is the official start of Christmas. At Sainsburys we are now in full swing of the Xmas timetable plans. The first lines were dressed on today. The Xmas cakes and puddings have come in. Next to expect the biscuits and crackers and things. Lastley coming in the fresh foods. So it is Christmas now, in supermarkets anyway. _________________ My Site www.freewebs.com/big-Stevie-b/

Since i worked at that place i`ve not enjoyed Christmas once. 1 day or two days off if lucky in retail. Then people are at there worst. The week leading to the day is the worst. My worst time of year an the stress of it all. One day i would like a normal job and maybe get Christmas back. _________________ My Site www.freewebs.com/big-Stevie-b/

You mean the Brighton Bash 4? I`m sure that can be sorted out. Last years was awsome with the free all day rides lol. No way we can be that lucky again. _________________ My Site www.freewebs.com/big-Stevie-b/

Does this mean the Christmas lights are faulty and unsafe? I wouldn't trust these cheap places... did you still buy them after you were shocked?

Monday evening I noticed Morrisons in Bath had chocolates laid out in the seasonal aisle ready for Christmas. Thankfully I didn't see cards, decorations or paper on the shelves yet, but how little time before they go on sale too?
Bet by the time Loopathon is over the supermarkets will have their premises decorated for Christmas, and decorations will be going up in the streets, ready for switch-on by mid November. |

I havn't seen any of my local shops preparing for Yule just yet, but there's one that's already started stocking up on eggs and whatnot for Oestre...
Has everyone got themselves ready for Christmas 2012CE yet? It's only just around the corner, ye know... _________________

| When I worked with my dad, every year at Howells in Cardiff in the food hall they used to have the christmas stuff up around September and the staff used to be up to their eyes with it all. |

No problem....
I did this last year for the "Christmas Coaster" that was there, and was quite impressed by the whole Winter Wonderland thing, including the range of foreign food and some beers. I only popped in last year on the way to an Xmas Beer up in London one Saturday so I could cover off 2 things with one train fare.
So... Thinking about this further this afternoon, and given that there's little Winter club activity (other than the ski trip), we could arrange a informal meet up for anyone who's interested (one Saturday in December). We could have fun in the fair for a while and then pile into a pub somewhere nearby (and good for mainline train stations) for a few Xmas beers afternoon/evening for whoever wanted to?
Anybody interested? If there is i'll get something arranged on here and the RCCGB Facebook page. _________________ Matt
