After a 9 hour, 512 mile trip overnight without sleep (for me anyhow as I was driving) we arrived at Sandusky at 7am and in plenty of time to get breakfast.
We got our platinum passes sorted by 8:30 and were ready at the side gate to go in the park for opening time.
To say Monday was the worst day I have had in Cedar Point would be an understatement. The park was rammed with school kids taking part in physics days events that the park had set up. Quite a few people as well as us were there thinking that the lines were going to be light but they were anything but with queues of up to 2 hours for the major rides.
One thing that did not help was that we seemed to bring the rides breaking down curse from GA to Cedar Point with us as most rides at one point or another did not want to behave themselves.
RIDE COUNT - Mon 18/5, 9am to 7pm
Maverick - 1
Skyhawk - 1
Magnum - 2
Corkscrew - 1
Mantis - 1
TTD - 1
Mean Streak - 1
Raptor - 1
Wicked Twister - 1
Blue Streak - 1
Millennium Force - 1
TOTAL RIDES = 12
Tue 19/5, 9am to 7pm
Millennium Force - 5
Skyhawk - 1
Mean Streak - 2
Magnum - 5
TTD - 5
Wicked Twister - 2
MaXair - 1
Raptor - 1
Blue Streak - 2
TOTAL RIDES = 24
HIGHLIGHTS
- Being back at Cedar Point again.
- Great weather yet again.
LOWLIGHTS
- Huge queues, but Tuesday was a good bit better.
- Catering prices seemed even more expensive than last year.
- Dirty restrooms, one thing I wish Cedar Point would work on. _________________
