I have already booked into The Big Blue Hotel, but I am still waiting to hear if there is any discount for RCCGB members, as it looks modern and I know it would be comfortable, also with it being right next to the Pleasure Beach it is ideal !

The discount varies on time of year but they should offer you some form if you tell them you are an RCCGB member.

Yes I was wondering if it did depend on the time of year whether they would offer any discount. I am still waiting to hear back from the Hotel.

I stopped in the Big Blue Hotel last year. It's not bad as it's a proper Hotel type place. I think i got it for 75 per room per night last year with the RCCGB discount.

There are cheaper B&B's about, but i guess it's what you prefer... one thing I would say in favour of the hotel is that the bar is open late, albeit typical hotel bar prices! But after a good night of evening entertainment, there's always that 1 extra drink available Wink

Yes, I have managed to get a room for £75 per night so that is really good.

Hi
Bash invites should be with you all by the weekend (inside the next AIRtime).
I'm now looking for Gong Show acts so if you want to have a go, please e-mail me (andy@rccgb.co.uk) with the subject heading "Gong Show"
You can do anything - sing, juggle, dance, magic, ect., and you don't have to be good - in fact the badder you are the better!  So go on, have a go!

Andy

Well done Helen getting that rate - you got a bargain there.

I have just phoned the Big Blue, and there's no RCCGB discount this year  Sad

The cheapest they could offer was 115 prpm which is way too much really, so i've used a B&B instead. I tried the one that is the "feature" on the booking forms (The Langroyd), and there's a load of people staying there, so should be good anyway  Laughing

The Langroyd is excellent. Like Hayley said we have stayed there for a few years now and they offer a great service and they know how to cook a breakfast!

The Langroyd is the best B & B i've stayed at in Blackpool. John and Jane are excellent hosts and also coaster enthusiasts too !
Highly recommended !!!

It's a secret!  But it is a household name.  As a clue, he was on the same TV programme as me when the Club launched 20years ago.  Twisted Evil

LAst I heard he was charging £5000 a show. Don't think Nev charges us enough to cover that cost.

If Orvil is there i`m going to teach him to fly. I`m gonna throw that puppet straight out the window. The monkey i could just about stand. Keith Harris? Please don`t. But that green bird thing is going on the big one without a lap bar!
