Too bad! That was a really fun ride. I'm glad we finally got to ride it. That was a highly anticipated coaster/park for both of us. We had seen it on tv so many times and it took us soooo long it get there. (it is only 3,000 miles away from us!) Thanks to the RCCGB we finally got there and it was a great park, and a good ride. A shame to see it go. _________________ Yankee Freeloader Pete

That's a real shame...it was one highly-rated coaster that I didn't get to ride.
Is it being scrapped or sold, does anyone know?

As Steve B said we were not expecting so little. This coaster was so much better than what I was ever expecting from this ride. That drop over the lake was so amazing a shame to see it go & glad I rode it. _________________ Memeber of the 08 Top Thrill Rollback Club + Member of the "First to be denied SAW by Technical Failure" club.

Scrapped apparently. Seeing as it was built to utilise the landscape, it won't really fit anywhere else. Busch have said it's reached the 'end of its economical life'
If all they do is use the area to create easier access to where Drachen Fire used to be, then it will be a real shame, cos I thought it was a good coaster, certainly one of the better suspended coasters out there. Glad I got to ride it on the trip. _________________ 319 coasters: Steel 251 Wood 68

That's surprising news considering it was a good ride and lasted a respectable amount of time.
Having part of the ride over the lake was really nice as theming a ride around water is always something I like. One of the reasons why I'm really looking forward to riding Manta.
We were very fortunate to be able to ride it before it's closure. Even with the loss of that ride Busch Gardens Europe is still one of my favorite parks to date and was a fantastic start to the trip (go Nev!). _________________ Steve

I'm very disappointed by this news.
I've only ridden 3 of this type of ride - the others being 'Iron Dragon' at Cedar Point on last year's club trip, and 'Vortex' at Canada's Wonderland on this year's trip - and I thought 'Big Bad Wolf' was far better than either of the others.
Like others are saying, I'm glad that I got to ride it. _________________ Now counting my coasters at http://www.coastercounter.com/bradpeet - which even has the snails |
