It's scary to think that there could be other "beings" ou there in the universe......but then it's also scary to think we may be the only ones. I personally think that there MUST be intelligent life out there, Jane, on the other hand does not believe at all....what do you guys think? [/b]

Maybe I have watched the X-Files too many times but I do believe that somewhere out there there is a life form of another kind.

But I dont think it will ever be found, at least not in my lifetime.

With hundreds of millions of galaxies, each containing millions of stars, planets and other objects, there must be life out there, but what form that takes is anyones guess. Then there's all this multiverse stuff to contend with - eleven seems to be the flavour at present.

The hubble deep field observation showed that all those ultra black bits in the sky are full of other galaxies - there's an amazing video on the web showing the zoom-in on that black stuff.

If we are clever enough to send a probe to another planet in our solar system then I'd assume that if there was anything around us either we'd have found it or they would have found us.

I think if "IT" is out there its probably a long way away and probably wondering the same things as us and why they haven't found anything yet.

But there's an awful lot of space and such vast distances. Everything we see in the sky is now either radically changed or extinct, and some light has taken billions of light-years to reach us.

Unless intelligent beings find ways to get from A to B quickly, we're pretty much on our own.
