I have to take a trip over to my works site in Portsmouth, NH over the bank holiday week so have decided to visit 6 Flags New England on Sunday 25th May whilst I am over there.....looking forwward to riding their 13 coasters including what I'm told is one of the best steelies in the world - Superman: Ride of Steel - apparently 221 foot first drop through a tunnel and top speed of 77mph...can't wait.
Would love company if anyone is over there at the same time!!
If anyone has been there...any tips? |

Just head straight for "Superman Ride of Steel" and enjoy riding the number 1 steelie. You will not be dissapointed
This coaster delivers masses of "AIRTIME".
Also make sure you ride the woodie "CYCLONE" in the BACK SEAT
and prepare yourself for a suprise?????
Wish I could make the trip with you, but I cant
Have a fab time.

When riding Superman (yes, it is fantastic) enjoy the airtime (do not allow anything to fly out of your pockets (the Guru had the fun of trying to catch his own camera as it flew past him). The park can get very busy and you may want to spend extra to fast pass. _________________ Regards

If you will be there at night, and will be waiting for Superman, you might want to invest in some insect repellent. Superman is right on the shore of a river and the queue lights draw massive amounts of bugs!! _________________ Yankee Freeloader Pete

If you are in the back seat, DONT put your hands up in the air use your hands to hold on for dear life
I remember the day Mike Conklin (USA bus driver) and myself rode the Cyclone with our hands up, (back seat), and I must say that is the only time I have ever experienced so much airtime, we were lifted so high that we nearly came out of the train. Only our knees kept us in the train. (and that was AFTER they reprofiled the first drop.
So watch out for that first drop guys
Have a great time _________________ Were no sissy's.......were "Ruffy Tuffy Rough Riders"

Colin - It was everyone else on the train trying to catch the camera!! I was totally oblivious to the fact until I got off (just make sure everything is secure with buttons fastened and zips zipped). A really good ride and not to be missed. _________________ The Guru will see you now. |
